SHOW #007 - NerdBoyTV Broadcast: November 17, 2007

This week, Ryan Yee (host of NerdBoyTV) introduces articles on Blockbuster's move from retail stores to online movie downloads, how Wendy's is partnering with a Rhapsody (a NerdBoyTV favorite) to offer free music downloads in the coming week, and how to be a "tech hero" to your family and friends this holiday season. In addition, NerdBoyTV tells you about a terrific new service he found that keeps all the irritating spam out of your Inbox. And finally, NerdBoyTV is eyeing Dell's XPS M2010 20" Laptop for Christmas (the Mercedes for nerds - grin) and provides an article on Dell's soon-to-be-released XPS all-in-one desktop computers.

NOTE: This week's broadcast was filmed using the awesome, easy-to-use Flip Video Camcorder. Pardon the jumpy movement at the end...I'm still mastering this ;-)

I had been a loyal and paying customer of Spamarrest for some time, recently their service has been erratic and I lost a number of important messages. After not receiving adequate support I decided to cancel my recently renewed account and asked for a refund of the unused portion. Here is their response:
Hi David,

Thanks once again.

David, I am very sorry to tell you that we are not able to offer you a refund for your account. You may continue to use your Spam Arrest account till 2008-10-01 by reactivating the account.

I truly apologize for your inconvenience, David. Please do let me know if you need anything else.

Best Regards,

Wow, that sucks...thanks for the post. Good to know how companies respond to customers when thinks DON'T go well. Appreciate the feedback, David.
