RadioShack's Acer Netbook deal is a dud!

As I'm driving home recording this in the car, I'm thinking what a pity it is that the special $99 netbook deal from RadioShack (with $60/month Internet service for two years) turns out to be one disappointment now that I've found that I'm limited to 5 gigs of data transfer per month...YIKES!

I'm returning it tomorrow...bummer!

Cheap Ways to Watch TV

Cheap Ways to Watch TV - Yahoo! Shopping

"Wait! Don't toss out your beautiful flat panel display — even if there are a plethora of ways to enjoy your favorite shows without a TV. So cozy up to your laptop or hook that old PC to your television set, because here are some ways you can access content via the Internet."

Rounding up the latest Netbooks

Rounding up the latest Netbooks - CNET Reviews

"The last couple of months have seen pretty much every big player in the PC market jump into the Netbook game with both feet. While we used to talk about Asus and MSI as dominant brands, now it's Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

The category continues to grow; after all, for around $500 (or less) you can take advantage of Internet access, e-mail, word processing, music playback, and even online video streaming. Netbooks do all of these things fairly well. We've got a video version of this roundup available as well."

Name that tune by just singing or humming a snippet

Name that tune by just singing or humming a snippet: Christopher Null : Yahoo! Tech

"Scenario: You got a fat iTunes gift card for Christmas and you're loading up on music... but there's that one song that you're dying to download that you just can't remember the name of, or even who sings it, for that matter.

You can try searching for lyrics -- if you have 'em straight -- or you can let your voice do the searching. Check out Midomi, an ingenious website that lets you sing or hum a few bars of any song to figure out what it really is."
